After coding the initial website, Jordan saw rapid traction and reinvested his savings and student loan to hire an app developer, enhancing the user experience.
2017
While studying at Chester University, our founder Jordan Tew won the Santander Entrepreneurship Award, securing the funds to launch STUnii—a student-focused lifestyle platform showcasing hidden city gems, exclusive offers, and rewards.
2019
Through guerrilla marketing, Jordan built a student ambassador network, growing STUNii to 50,000+ users. To scale further, he successfully secured funding, allowing him to bring in top talent—James Higgins (now Creative Director at SCROll STOP) and Bishir Sulaiman (now Campaign & Content Manager).
2020
STUNii expanded to 10+ UK cities with 100,000+ active users, but COVID-19 hit hard, impacting our high-street-focused model. Forced to pivot, we doubled down on short-form content, a move that reshaped our future.
2021
By mastering TikTok and short-form video, we went viral, growing to 500,000+ followers and building an influential student network. Major brands like Morrisons, MyProtein, and ByteDance took notice. Demand surged, leading to waitlists and rapid team expansion—our business had officially outgrown the student space.
2022
Off the back of incredible results, we expanded into the US market. However, we faced a major setback—our name, RealBuzz, was already trademarked. This forced us to rethink our entire brand identity. The process wasn’t easy, but after countless creative sessions, SCROll STOP was born.

Off the back of incredible results, we expanded into the US market. However, we faced a major setback—our name, RealBuzz, was already trademarked. This forced us to rethink our entire brand identity. The process wasn’t easy, but after countless creative sessions, SCROll STOP was born.
2021 - Chapter Two
Due to the overwhelming demand for our marketing services, we expanded beyond the student market, leading to the creation of RealBuzz Media—a full-fledged creative influencer marketing agency specialising in TikTok and short-form content.
Within months, our team grew from 5 to 10, and we positioned ourselves as industry experts. Our campaign execution doubled, and we were inundated with influencers beyond just students wanting to collaborate. The demand became so high that we pivoted from a traditional talent roster to an influencer network, allowing us to scale while still keeping students at the core of our brand.
That same year, we executed one of our most iconic case studies. Working with a US-based student maths app, we leveraged our vast influencer network and creative strategy to deliver an explosive viral activation. Within weeks, the app had millions of downloads, even outranking TikTok on the global app charts. This was a true game-changer for us.
